In de nacht van 9 op 10 januari werden in Hollywood de Golden Globe Awards uitgereikt, voor de 79ste keer. Vanwege de coronapandemie was besloten er een privé-evenement van te maken, maar de ceremonie was sowieso al gecanceld door veel beroemdheden vanwege kritiek op de organisatie.
